Can be used to manufacture glass and other hard surface protectors and cleaners that create a surface with greatly reduced coefficient of friction to reduce propensity of the surface to scratch while hiding scratches and imperfections (this makes glass and mirrors appear more brilliant by reducing refraction). When used in automotive windshield glass protectors or cleaning solutions, the glass will bead water and the water drops will skate off the windshield while driving for greatly enhanced visibility. This polymer is widely used by the water treatment industry to control the development of and inhibit the precipitation of CaCO3, CaSO4, and other low solubility mineral salts on heat exchange surfaces of cooling towers and boilers. In oilfield applications, the polymer prevents scale development in well formations and production equipment. Flexisperse 300 is also used as a dispersant and deflocculating agent for low temperature, low electrolyte drilling muds. Product Literature Request a Sample Flexisperse CQ-1000 IPAWetting Agents/DispersantsA fully quaternized, aqueous solution copolymer of styrene and an amino functional imide in a water/isopropanol mixture. It is fully water soluble although it has significant hydrophobic modification and as such is surface active. It is compatible with cationic and nonionic systems. It is useful as a dispersant and stabilizer in cationic emulsions such as wax emulsions and in emulsion polymerizations. It is also useful in paper manufacturing as a surface size, retention aid and in dewatering the pulp. Additionally, this product is useful as a dispersant in pressure treating lumber with ammoniated copper salts. The dried residue is very hard and brittle and can be useful as an anti-soiling additive to cationic/nonionic hard and soft surface cleaners and protectors.
